Did Geocaching sound interesting and you want to start out with it? As most new celluar phones ships with a GPS it is easy to start out now.

The steps you need to do are:

  1. Find out where you live by moving yourself outdoor and turn on your GPS. Wait until you get a fix (a good location) and notice the addess. For me, the "address" is something like N59 15.880 E10 25.075. You can verify the address by searching for it with Google Maps.
  2. Register for an account at www.geocaching.com and go to search for geocaches. Type in your coordinate from the step above. Download the finding into a .gpx file.
  3. Download, install and lauch Google Earth. Open the .gpx file you just downloaded, you can now see where all the geocaches nearby is hiding.
  4. Go hunting!
